EURAFLON® – PTFE Products made by HECKER

HECKER uses the EURAFLON® brand name for its PTFE materials, and we only use raw materials from renowned PTFE manufacturers for its production.

EURAFLON is characterized by a number of special properties that no other plastic can match in this combination:

  • Excellent chemical resistance
  • Very wide temperature range (-200°C to 250°C)
  • Very low coefficient of friction; no stick-slip effect even with insufficient lubrication
  • Anti-adhesive surface
  • Non-flammable; however, contact with flames releases toxic fluorine gas
  • Excellent electrical insulation properties
  • Physically safe, weather-resistant, and does not absorb water

In addition to these mentioned properties, the following must be taken into account when designing:

  • High coefficient of expansion
  • Low thermal conductivity
  • Low abrasion resistance
  • Tendency to flow under load

The properties of PTFE can be tailored to a wide range of applications through the targeted addition of special fillers. PTFE compounds broaden the application range of PTFE and allow the material to be optimized for a specific purpose.

    Groove and lip seals, V-seal sets, PTFE-elastomer seal combinations (seal rings + O-rings), anti-extrusion rings (backup rings), wiper rings, and parts according to your drawings and samples

    Flat gaskets, solid or coated, O-rings, glass flange gaskets, clamp flange gaskets, pipe fitting gaskets, bellows and expansion joints (also in vacuum versions), sealing cords and tapes.

PEREL® Special seals

The construction principle of the permanently elastic PEREL® Seal

The corrosion-resistant and permanently elastic gasket insert consists of PTFE-impregnated fiberglass fabric. The elastic properties of the three-dimensionally arranged fiberglass fibers create the elasticity of PEREL® gaskets.
